By the end of August 2010, we started to record The Garrison for their debut full length, ‘Subversion’ at Pertama Studio. It has been quite a hassle, many trial and errors to really get that sound which really could define The Garrison.
Well, to really get that vintage analog sound with a really tight budget does sound impossible, so it was all a matter of experimenting and pushing shit as far as we could get. It has been a never ending discussion between us with our trustworthy engineer Tom Bollocks. We even did shocked Tom’s neighbors with loud shouts from his toilet, just to get natural un-digitize reverbs.
The final mix is getting to an end. It took quite some time, but the shape of it to come does makes all of us excited with thrills the same time.
